Grand
Quintiles are
exceptionally rare and their proximity to the October Solar and Lunar eclipses
makes them all the more remarkable.
Our initial
take is that they will be significant more for the subtle overall vibration
of energy during that month-long time frame than for any actual event, which
would be more accurately associated with the eclipses. The appearance of these
two Grand Quintiles suggests to us the opportunity for humanity to express the
Light within, manifesting it the outer world. Seemingly this time period supports
us in calling forward our hidden talents to transform our reality in tangible
ways. The challenge is to activate this energy rather than letting it dissipate.
The number
5 is associated with humanity, life and the power of regeneration. Dane
Rudhyar refers to the Quintile as either progressive or regressive. He tells
us that if used for evolutionary purposes it is a creative force. However, when
used for selfish purposes it becomes a destructive force. Robert
Hand gives it a fateful connotation, associating it with transformation,
along with the capacity for ruthlessness and/or great achievement.
On a more
practical and positive note, Dusty
Bunker, in her book Quintiles
and Tredeciles says, "We can link our inner and outer selves through
this aspect by making our ideas work in the physical world, by turning them
into something usable and practical in the sense that we benefit from them and
subsequently others will benefit as well because of the person our thought processes
make us."
